Hello! This is Dom O’Brien’s blog:

It’s a collection of bits and bobs I find that interest me / make me think / fall in love with / wish I’d done.

Work-wise: I’m lucky enough to work at advertising agency glue London (linked by Isobar) and have done so pretty much since it started. I’m Head of Emerging Tech there and yes, it’s an impressive job title, but what does it mean? Well it means I try to understand how people consume different media and identify opportunities of where our brands can talk to people. It also means I try to keep up to date with technology to make our ideas better.

I’ve worked across a variety of clients and have scooped awards including Cannes Cyber Lions, Eurobest Gold, IMA Grand Prix, IMA best use of viral, IMA special award for innovation.

Mobile specific achievements include 1st Pan European MMS campaign for T-Mobile / Rolling Stone 40 Licks tour (2002), MTV:Starzine - 1st Pan European MoBlogging service for MTV / Nokia (2004), Getthemessage.net - 1st personalisable video campaign for The Royal Navy (2007)

I’ve been published in various trade mags and most recently judged the mobile category at D&AD 2009.

Family-wise: I’m lucky enough to have a great wife that continues to put up with me (Viv), and 2 fantastical kids (Robin + Marnie)
